ABOUT US:
Team Animatronics is community high school students interested in robotics who live in San Ramon, CA. The team members are ninth graders that attend Dougherty Valley High School. The team was founded in 2016.
We started with First Lego League (FLL) and one of the major achievements was getting a first prize in the “Most Innovative Idea” category for their “Flapper Stopper” product which saves hundreds of gallons of water in each household by optimizing the amount of water used in a toilet flush.

Team then moved on to First Tech Challenge - FTC and 2018-2019 was Rookie year for the team. The team participated in 3 qualifiers in the 2018-2019 season and overcame several challenges and successfully won the “Finals” in the FTC Qualifiers held at Walnut Creek, CA.
In the next season Team qualified to Nor-cal Regionals by winning the inspire award which is given to the team the best represts First.

Team Animatronics has been actively involved in educating the local community to get more kids interested in Robotics and First challenges. We participated in San Jose Education Day and Alameda county fair during the off-season to reach out to a large number of students to motivate them in STEM. Team Animatronics is mentored by a few industry experts in various fields and some dedicated parents who motivate and guide the team.
