Team Acme
On their way to regionals, team Acme kindly agreed to help us out and give us a couple tips for the next season. Team #8367 Acme have won the inspire award at the first qualifier due to their amazing notebook, something that we were lacking in that season. We met them through our third qualifier where they were our alliance team mates for the semifinals. They started off by telling us how they worked, how they got sponsorships,
what outreach events they have done etc. |
Anirudh Bhat CADMr. Anirudh Bhat is a senior packaging design Engineer at MACOM technologies. He has over 5 years of experience in supporting new product development with in-depth knowledge of surface mount technology, assembly optimization and design for manufacturing. We had a conversation with Mr. Anirudh Bhat, over video conferencing, to go over the use of Computer Aided design in mechanical modeling. We reached out to Mr. Anirudh Bhat through one of the team parents and Mr. Bhat instantly agreed to help us with a video conference session. Mr. Bhat explained the importance of CAD (Computer aided design) in modeling mechanical designs before actually building the part which saves lot of money and resources.

Ghazi Hardware
Team Animatronics met with a Robotics Ph.D. holder named Mr.Ghazi. We talked about how and why humans use robotics and how he could help us with our own robotics competition. He opened up a new way of thinking which was rather than constricting ourselves to thinking through a competition lens about robotics but rather focus on robotics as a whole. He stressed the importance of experimentation and their benefit with it's relation to engineering.

SponsorshipAny robotics team had to spend thousands of dollars on parts, travel, registration, and merchandise. The large amount of money can often cause a team to be under a lot of pressure. Fundraisers, parents, and other outreach events can only raise so much money. Our sponsors all provide us with the resources we need to take our team to qualifiers, regionals, and possibly even worlds. By aiding us in this process, these companies are gaining exposure through our teams. We are very grateful to have our previous sponsors and continue to look for more sponsors who will help us through this journey.
